Optional AI connections
Use Capsyn records in Claude and ChatGPT
Ask questions about private equity and fund-of-funds portfolios using the data already in Capsyn. Capsyn supplies the records, financial calculations and source references; your chosen assistant writes the answer.
These optional read-only connections are separate from the Capsyn Companion. The Companion is your command surface for supported Capsyn workflows and connected systems, including routine internal updates on request and sensitive actions with approval.

Directory publication is being prepared. Private pilot connections are available once your administrator has enabled and configured access.
- Ask your Capsyn administrator to enable Claude & ChatGPT access for your account.
- Open Capsyn in your assistant's directory when available, then choose Connect. Your assistant workspace may require administrator approval.
- Sign in on Capsyn's login page, select one eligible PE GP or FoF GP workspace, and approve read-only access.
- Start a conversation with Capsyn enabled. Each connection stays with the workspace you selected.
Private pilot setup
Copy the connection URL from Capsyn Settings → AI connections. In Claude, add a custom remote connector. In ChatGPT, use a developer-mode connection if your account and workspace allow it. Select OAuth and automatic client identification (CIMD) where offered, leaving client credentials blank, then sign in to Capsyn.
Questions you can ask
- How has our portfolio's value changed over the last four quarters?
- Which underlying funds have the highest reported TVPI?
- Compare available revenue and EBITDA trends across our companies.
- What reasons did management give for weaker performance in the approved reports?
Answers depend on available records. Check reporting dates, currencies, coverage and cited sources. Missing data stays unknown. Secondary-entry adjusted FoF returns are not currently exposed.
What is shared
After you connect, the assistant can request permitted portfolio and investment records, performance, company metrics, and report excerpts approved by a Capsyn administrator. Requests are limited to your selected workspace and existing permissions. The connection cannot edit, upload, publish, send or delete business records.
End-investor LP identities, commitments, allocations, notices, compliance records and investor-specific report sections are excluded. A FoF's own investment in an underlying fund is included and identified separately from whole-fund metrics.
Requested records and excerpts are sent to the assistant provider you connect. Capsyn records connection and request metadata for access control and operational auditing, without storing document bodies or credentials in integration logs. The connection does not give Capsyn access to your full chat history. Source links require Capsyn sign-in.
Existing Capsyn data and integration records follow the Capsyn Privacy Policy. Information delivered to Claude or ChatGPT is also handled under your agreement and settings with that provider. Disconnecting does not remove information already in a conversation.
Disconnect or resolve a problem
Open Capsyn Settings → AI connections and choose Disconnect. An administrator can disable access to revoke all your connections. Re-enabling requires connecting again.
If Capsyn is unavailable, verify that your account is enabled and you still belong to the selected workspace. If a citation is unavailable, the report may have changed or its approval may have been removed.
For access, setup, data correction or deletion requests, contact sean.lenssen@capsyn.ai. Include the provider and a brief description; do not send passwords, tokens or sensitive report content.
